Description
Six pounds, two feet, seven rounds of 12 gauge. Pick any two and most shotguns can manage it. The KS7 GEN2 does all three.
It is a bullpup pump-action that measures just over 26 inches, weighs 6.1 pounds unloaded, and balances naturally over the grip - which is the technical way of saying it goes where longer shotguns cannot and does not wear you out getting there. The matte black synthetic stock and grips shrug off weather and a cross-bolt safety keeps operation straightforward. Nothing here is delicate.
Light enough to actually carry.
Six point one pounds is roughly a pound and a half under a standard tactical pump and over three pounds under our own KSG25. That difference stops being abstract the moment you are holding it at the ready with one hand while doing something else with the other, or handing it to someone who does not have the frame for a full-size shotgun. Weight is the spec people notice last and appreciate most.
Slim enough to store anywhere.
The single magazine tube keeps the KS7 narrow in a way the dual-tube KSG cannot be. Behind a seat, in a truck console, in a safe that is already full - the KS7 fits places a shotgun has no business fitting.
And still seven rounds.
This is the part that surprises people. Trading the second tube costs you capacity on paper, but 7+1 of 12 gauge is not a compromise, it is more than most full-size pumps hold. You are giving up the fourteen-round KSG number, not giving up firepower.
Where the GEN2 earns its name.
The redesigned forend is the upgrade. Cycling is faster and cleaner than the original, and there is now a five-slot Picatinny-style rail molded directly into it - attach a vertical grip, a light, whatever your setup calls for. A rail cap ships in the box for anyone who prefers the smooth, uninterrupted profile. Both looks are correct.
Downward ejecting, genuinely ambidextrous.
Shells drop straight down rather than across your face. Shoot it left-handed, shoot it around a corner off your weak shoulder, hand it to someone who does everything backwards - the KS7 does not have an opinion.
